I needed some new wreaths for my front doors so I decided to try and make my own instead of buying them premade. I know this isn't a papercraft but I had a great time putting them together and wanted to share them with all of you.

A Couple more Christmas Cards
I ran out of cards and had to make a few more. The cards were premade with the snowflake already cut out. All I did was add the ribbon and sticker embellishments on the front and stamped sentiment on the inside. I purchased the cards at A. C. Moore and everything else is leftover items from my stash.

Christmas Cards
Well, the Holidays have arrived and I'm sure all of us are very busy. This is the first year I decided to create my own Christmas cards. Since I had so many to make I tried to keep them as simple as possible. Here's some pictures.
The cards are from Michael's Recollections and I added some chipboard accents, also from Recollections, and American Crafts ribbon. The stamps are from Joann Fabrics. (I don't remember the company).

Quick Update
Hello Everyone,
I haven't forgotten about you or my blog. I live in Connecticut and we were hit by the Nor'easter last weekend. I spent 5 days without electricity, heat, internet and phone. I still have no phone but everything is working. I took advantage of the situation and cleaned and disinfected the refrigerator and freezer. Restocked it yesterday and caught up on the laundry (almost) So I plan to craft during the week and have something to share with you soon. I've been trying to catch up on all of your blogs for the past 2 days. Hope to get through the rest of them today. Thanks for sharing your creations.

Vacation Layout
As you can tell, I have been working on a scrapbook from a cruise we took many years ago. I used a sketch from http://www.pagemaps.com/
Here is the sketch...
And My Layout...
I didn't have any vertical pictures for this layout so I rotated it 90 degrees to use all horizontal photos. Thanks for looking.

Layout Technique from Embellish It!!
There is a new website http://www.mycraftchannel.com/ where you can watch crafting videos. Everyday there is a segment called Embellish It. They are short videos, usually around 2 minutes or less, that show you a quick and easy technique. The first episode was using paper strips. Usually I will use 2 12x12 pieces of paper for the background and then another 12x12 paper for layering or paper strips but she cut 2 pieces of 12x12 cardstock, one solid and one design, into 6x12 pieces. She placed them side by side and attached a thin strip of a third paper right down the center to adhere them together. I used a piece of scrap paper for this strip so I actually saved paper using this technique. Once I put the paper together I wasn't quite sure if I liked it but after placing my pictures and embellishments I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out.
Here's the final project...

Quick "Get Well Soon" Card
Ok, I'm not a card maker. I bought a few card kits a while ago. The kind that come with all the papers and embellishments, plus the instructions. Easy!!! Designing them on my own, not so Easy! I found out earlier in the week that a friend needed back surgery so I figured there's nothing nicer than something homemade. Well 1 hour later this is what I ended up with...
Outside
Inside
Outside
I used Cricut Serenade for the Cloud & Rain drops
Cricut Formal Occasion for the frame in and out (written sentiment)
Purple Card from pack of cards bought at Michael's Crafts
Paper: all scraps
Brads: Oriental Trading
I'm not really happy with the outcome but I needed to get it out in the mail, so I settled. I guess I'll just keep practicing. In the meantime, Thanks for looking.
